There are all sorts of different types of cycling socks. A relatively new cycling sock is the aero sock. “What are aero socks?” I hear you thinking. We'll gladly explain what exactly this is!

What are aerosocks?

Aerosocks are – you guessed it – aerodynamic socks. Due to the fabric, the length of the sock, and the very tight fit, these socks have lower air resistance than “ordinary” socks. So it saves a few watts for the same effort. While for pros, where every watt counts – marginal gains – that naturally doesn't matter so much for the cycling tourist like you and me. But we just think it looks cool. And if it looks cool and also works in your favour, then of course there's absolutely no reason not to ride with it.
